Kia Collision Repair: San Fernando Valley
XP Auto Center is part of the Kia Certified Collision Repair Center Network. That certification requires I-CAR Gold Class training, the tools and equipment Kia specifies, and an on-site inspection, so your Kia is repaired to Kia’s published procedure.
What Kia certification means for your car
Kia’s certified collision network requires I-CAR Gold Class as the training standard, plus specific equipment: 3D measuring with an active data subscription, structural pulling equipment, welders that meet Kia’s published specs, and training on the approved refinish system. The shop is inspected on-site to prove it.
That matters because modern Kias are not simple cars. A Telluride or Sorento uses high-strength steel in the structure, and nearly every recent Kia has Drive Wise driver assistance: forward collision avoidance, lane keeping, blind spot radar, and smart cruise control. Those sensors live in the bumpers, grille, mirrors, and windshield, which are exactly the parts that get damaged in a collision.
What you get: a repair done against Kia’s procedure for your exact VIN, genuine Kia parts where it counts, and a documented calibration for every sensor the repair touched.

Common Kia collision repairs
Rear-end damage
Bumper cover, energy absorber, reinforcement bar, and trunk floor or liftgate inspection. Rear parking sensors and rear radar get reinstalled and checked.
Drive Wise sensor calibration
Front radar, front camera, and blind spot radar need calibration after bumper, windshield, mirror, or alignment work. We do it in-house, details on our ADAS calibration page.
Front-end and headlamp repair
Bumper, grille, headlamps, radiator support, and cooling components. We check for hidden damage behind the bumper so nothing gets missed on the first estimate.
Structural repairs
We measure the structure in 3D, follow Kia sectioning and weld locations, and document the result so your insurer and any future buyer can see the car was fixed correctly.
Your car, your choice of shop
Under California Insurance Code §758.5 you have the right to choose your own repair shop, even if your insurer suggests another one. We handle the estimate, supplements, calibration documentation, and communication with your adjuster.
When a Kia repair procedure calls for OEM parts, we cite the factory procedure in the supplement so the right parts get approved. If your car is newer and the damage was structural, ask us about a California diminished value claim.

Questions Kia owners ask us
What does Kia certification require of a shop?
I-CAR Gold Class training, Kia-specified tools and equipment such as 3D measuring and approved welders, refinish system training, and an on-site inspection to verify the shop meets the standard.
Do you use genuine Kia parts?
OEM is our default and what we recommend. If your policy allows aftermarket parts on cosmetic pieces, we will walk you through it honestly. Structural parts, airbag components, and sensor-mounting parts get OEM, and we file supplements to get them approved.
Can you repair a Kia EV6 or EV9?
Yes. We start with a documented high-voltage disable and isolation check and follow Kia procedures around the battery and its mounting structure.
Can I choose your shop instead of the one my insurer suggests?
Yes. California law gives you the right to choose your repair shop. We work with your insurer on the estimate, supplements, and documentation.
How do I get an estimate?
Call us or request an estimate online. We build the estimate from your VIN and the actual damage, and we can start from photos.
