Hyundai Collision Repair: San Fernando Valley
XP Auto Center is a Hyundai Certified Collision Repair shop. Hyundai certification requires dealer sponsorship, I-CAR Gold Class training, the right equipment, and an on-site inspection audit, so your Hyundai is repaired the way Hyundai engineered it.
Certified by Hyundai, not just familiar with it
Getting Hyundai certified is a process: a Hyundai dealer has to sponsor the shop, the shop completes a business and capability assessment, and an inspector visits on-site to verify the training, tools, and equipment. Technical training follows the I-CAR Gold Class standard across estimating, non-structural, structural, and refinish roles.
The equipment list is specific: 3D electronic measuring, a frame bench for structural pulls, a squeeze-type resistance spot welder, MIG and silicon bronze brazing capability, and pre- and post-repair diagnostic scans with calibration records. That is what modern Hyundais need, from a Palisade’s high-strength steel structure to an Ioniq 5’s high-voltage battery.
What you get: a repair done to Hyundai’s procedure for your exact VIN, genuine Hyundai parts where it counts, and documented calibration for the SmartSense sensors the repair touched.

Common Hyundai collision repairs
Rear-end damage
Bumper cover, absorber, reinforcement bar, and trunk or liftgate inspection. Rear parking sensors and rear corner radar get reinstalled and checked.
SmartSense calibration
Forward collision avoidance, lane keeping, and blind spot systems need calibration after bumper, windshield, mirror, or alignment work. We do it in-house, details on our ADAS calibration page.
Front-end repair
Bumper, grille, headlamps, radiator support, and cooling components, with a full teardown so hidden damage is found on the first estimate, not halfway through.
Structural and welding repairs
3D measuring, Hyundai sectioning locations, and the welding methods Hyundai specifies, including squeeze-type resistance spot welding and silicon bronze brazing where called for.
Your car, your choice of shop
Under California Insurance Code §758.5 you have the right to choose your own repair shop, even if your insurer suggests another one. We handle the estimate, supplements, calibration documentation, and communication with your adjuster.
When a Hyundai repair procedure calls for OEM parts, we cite the factory procedure in the supplement so the right parts get approved. If your car is newer and the damage was structural, ask us about a California diminished value claim.

Questions Hyundai owners ask us
What does Hyundai certification require?
Sponsorship from a Hyundai dealer, a business and capability assessment, I-CAR Gold Class training, specified tools and equipment, and an on-site inspection audit.
Do you use genuine Hyundai parts?
OEM is our default and what we recommend. Hyundai procedures call for OEM in specific places, and we always use OEM on structure, airbag components, and parts that hold or aim a sensor. We file supplements with your insurer to get them approved.
Can you repair an Ioniq 5 or Ioniq 6?
Yes. We start with a documented high-voltage disable and isolation check and follow Hyundai procedures around the battery and its mounting structure.
Can I choose your shop instead of the one my insurer suggests?
Yes. California law gives you the right to choose your repair shop. We work with your insurer on the estimate, supplements, and documentation.
How do I get an estimate?
Call us or request an estimate online. We build the estimate from your VIN and the actual damage, and we can start from photos.
